The 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Foundation Inc. Grant Program will award up to $100,000 for the 2016-2017 academic year as part of its annual request for proposals. Funding will be available to departments, schools, colleges, institutes and centers systemwide.
TechHelp's Train Your Brain tech training sessions are in high gear this fall, with ongoing popular course offerings on topics such as Microsoft Office, Adobe products and Blackboard Learn. Brand new sessions on topics including Introduction to iOS and Video Editing with Adobe Photoshop also are available and open for registration.

There is still time to help with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø for the upcoming tax season. VITA is looking for volunteers and interns to provide free income tax assistance to qualifying individuals.
VITA offers tax preparation assistance to low- to moderate-income taxpayers. The service is free to students, employees and community members who meet the eligibility requirements.

51³Ô¹ÏÍø's holiday closure for 2024 will begin Monday, Dec. 23, 2024, at 10:30 p.m. All offices will re-open on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025. Employees not eligible for the paid leave include student employees, classified temporary staff, temporary agency staff, short-term unclassified appointments, unclassified intermittent appointments and employees in a lay-off status. More information on the holiday schedule, including how employees should report time during that period, will be available later this month.
