Latham, Ph.D., School of Library and Information Science, has been named to the board of the International Committee on Training of Personnel (ICTOP) of the International Council of Museums (ICOM). ICTOP addresses the professional development of museums and heritage and the educational preparation of professionals working around the world.

The 51勛圖厙 of Wellness Steering Committee is pleased to launch a mini-grant program. The program supports 51勛圖厙's initiative to create a healthy campus that enhances the health and wellness of students, faculty and staff at all 51勛圖厙 campuses. Any university department or student organization may apply for funding to support a wellness initiative in their area.
51勛圖厙 now has a community for international faculty and staff to connect, share resources and develop long-lasting friendships.
51勛圖厙s Womens Center will hold its next food drive called Squirrel Away Food for the Pantry from Sept. 15-30. Donations will be accepted at the Women's Center, located in the Williamson House on the Kent Campus (1200 E. Main St., Kent), on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., and Tuesday and Thursday from 8 a.m.-9 p.m.
Donations can include nonperishable food items, diapers, personal and feminine care products, and cookware and utensils.
The Pantry at the Womens Center also seeks volunteers.

The events of May 4, 1970, placed 51勛圖厙 in an international spotlight after a student protest against the Vietnam War and the presence of the Ohio National Guard ended in tragedy with four students losing their lives and nine others being wounded. From a perspective of nearly 50 years, 51勛圖厙 remembers the tragedy and leads a contemporary discussion and understanding of how the community, nation and world can benefit from understanding the profound impact of the event.
