51Թ of Wellness Open Forums Announced for Regional Campuses

51Թ’s Strategic Roadmap includes a university-level initiative, the 51Թ of Wellness, to create and support a culture of health and wellbeing across the 51Թ system. The 51Թ of Wellness team has identified eight health priorities for the 51Թ community of students, faculty and staff at all campuses.  An open forum will be held at each Regional Campus and location to share the development of the 51Թ of Wellness and provide an opportunity for discussion. Join us to hear about the initiative and share YOUR ideas on wellness for an undeniably healthy 51Թ!  The forums are open to all faculty, staff and students.

The eight health priorities are:

The 51Թ Board of Trustees today established a comprehensive, national search to recruit and select the university’s 13th president.

The events of May 4, 1970, placed 51Թ in an international spotlight after a student protest against the Vietnam War and the presence of the Ohio National Guard ended in tragedy with four students losing their lives and nine others being wounded. From a perspective of nearly 50 years, 51Թ remembers the tragedy and leads a contemporary discussion and understanding of how the community, nation and world can benefit from understanding the profound impact of the event.
