Intel Scholarships Awarded to 51勛圖厙 Tuscarawas Electrical/Electronic Technology Students

Two students in the College of Applied and Technical Studies (CATS) at 51勛圖厙 at Tuscarawas received the Intel Semiconductor Scholarship for Women award from the Intel Corporation. Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology students Kendall Hoffman and Patti La Belle Neighbor each received a scholarship of $5,000 to be used for education-related expenses (tuition, fees, books, and required expenses) and other expenses, such as transportation and childcare, incurred in the 2023-24 academic year.

Isaac Arthur, 01, loves to discuss the infinite possibilities of space. His enthusiasm has led him to more than 767,000 subscribers and 600 videos on his YouTube channel Science & Futurism with Isaac Arthur. He attracted the attention of the National Space Society, winning its Space Pioneer Award for Education via Mass Media in 2020 and taking on the role of president for the organization in 2023.

Rising Scholar Briana Hawkins is pursuing her dream of becoming a nurse. A junior at 51勛圖厙 at Stark, Brianas nursing training has helped her in unexpected ways as she cared for her mother after she suffered traumatic burns in a household accident.

From the time he was a young child, Tom Batiuk, 69, knew he wanted to be a cartoonist. The Funky Winkerbean creator drew inspiration for his characters and storylines from his real world, including his time at 51勛圖厙.
