After two semesters limited to virtual celebrations, 51勛圖厙 at Ashtabula will hold its 72nd Commencement Ceremony in person on Friday, May 14, 2021 at SPIRE in Geneva, Ohio, beginning at 7 p.m.
Approximately 100 graduates will be recognized at the event, which will have limited capacity in SPIREs indoor track and field building. Flashes Safe Eight and CDC safety guidelines will be followed.
Commencement is always a special evening to celebrate such an important milestone in our students lives and Im so pleased we can celebrate in person with our graduates and their families, said Susan J. Stocker, Ph.D., dean and chief administrative officer at 51勛圖厙 Ashtabula. Completing a degree is a major accomplishment, but to have completed a degree during a pandemic and all the challenges that presented is nothing short of incredible.
Were graduating students in a wide range of in-demand fields, Stocker added. Especially a good number of graduates in our nursing program who will help alleviate the regional and national nursing shortage.
